The theme of "Chaco Canyon" was based on a visit that the artist made in 2014 and it is the colorful visions of that site that inspired her series. 19 Pueblos

The 19 Pueblos Solo Art Exhibit was my 2020 solo exhibit. This was a show honoring my time working as an Art Therapist for many of the 19 Pueblos of Northern New Mexico. The paintings honor the sacred lands of the living Native American Societies found throughout this diverse and stunning bio-region. Many of the original artworks are still available and they are now on display for purchase at the Guadalupe Inn located downtown Santa Fe, NM. Call ahead for reservations and ask for one of the 8 different "ColorScapes Fine Art" Rooms. You can also view and purchase art from the front lobby which has several of my original artworks on display. Stay Tuned for an art opening and reception coming up sometime this year dates TBA. www.guadalupeinn.com

ASU Show

ASU Show

ASU Showing back in 2013 with my large 6x5" "Spirit of Arizona". The exhibit ran August- December 2013 and was published in an article for the local paper written by ASU students after I did an interview with them. It was a great opportunity to connect with other artists all with a theme of "maps." My goal was to reach as many viewers as possible with my artwork in hope of finding a space for this piece to be shown permanently in a public forum, hopefully Native American office or school, or an Arizona Travel Center. For more info on this painting for show go to: www.rachelhouseman.com.
